9 - day itinerary (9 Days/8 Nights)
Description: Our Family Adventure Package has been carefully tailored to help you and your family enjoy an exciting and unforgettable time together in the midst of nature. This itinerary includes Sarapiqui River Rafting, Arenal Volcano and hot springs, Monteverde and Guanacaste.

Day 1: Arrival San Jose. (No meals.)
You will be picked up at the airport and taken to San José for an overnight stay at the Hotel Don Carlos, located in the center of the capital city’s cultural district. This elegant Victorian home was built at the turn of the last century and has been completely refurbished and restored. This fine hotel’s tastefully designed and decorated rooms will provide guests with a pleasant ambience and a restful night’s sleep..
Day 2: Rafting down the Sarapiquí River and overnight in Arenal (B,L,D)
This moderately flowing river is ideal for families and white-water novices. Explore some of Costa Rica’s most exotic landscapes as you enjoy an exciting white water ride. Pick up and transfer to Sarapiqui River, 2½ hour white water rafting trip, then 3 hour transfer to Arenal Volcano area. Overnight at the Arenal Paraiso Resort.
Day 3: Arenal Biking Tour & Ecothermales Hot Springs. (B,D)
Enjoy a scenic bike ride over paved roads that meander through lush tropical rainforests at the base of the volcano. In the late afternoon you will indulge in the soothing hot springs at the world-famous Tabacón Resort, then enjoy dinner before returning to your hotel. Overnight at the Arenal Paraiso Resort.
Day 4: Arenal Lake-crossing to Monteverde (about 3 hours) (B)
A mountain cloud forest, exotic birds and wildlife, and a host of exciting nature tours await your family in Monteverde National Park. You will be picked-up after breakfast and transferred across mirror-like Arenal Lake to Monteverde. Explore Monteverde Cloud Forest Preserve, its abundant wildlife and trails before returning with your family to the magnificent Hotel El Establo.
Day 5: Morning Sky Trek and afternoon transfer to Guanacaste beaches (B)
After breakfast, soar through the treetops and discover the secrets of Monteverde’s varied plant and wildlife. The Sky Trek Canopy experience is the ideal way for the whole family to experience the area’s natural riches. At mid-day you will depart for Guanacaste’s Pacific coast. Sun-swept beaches, wind-blown savannas and plenty of natural and cultural attractions await you and your family on Costa Rica’s northwest Pacific coast. Pick up and 4 hour transfer to Costa Rica’s sunny Pacific coast. Overnight at the Fiesta Premier Resort .
Day 6: All-inclusive Fiesta Premier Resort (B,L,D)
This dry-tropical area is famous for its countless exotic beaches of sugar white sand and lush vegetation. The weather around here tends to be hot, dry and sunny, with warm waters and year around clear blue skies. A variety of water sports and adventure attractions are available. Overnight at the Fiesta Premier Resort.
Days 7: All-inclusive Fiesta Premier Resort (B,L,D)
Enjoy a wide variety of activities that include snorkeling, jet ski, scuba diving and nature tours. Overnight at Fiesta Premier Resort
Day 8: Afternoon 30-min. flight to San José. (B)
Enjoy the morning at your leisure then afternoon flight to San Jose, pick up and transfer to the Hotel Don Carlos for overnight.
Day 9: Transfer to international airport. (B)
Pick up and transfer to the airport for your departure.
Price for a family of 4: $5,087 Valid from July 02 to December 15th 2007
Includes: Accommodations in double occupancy for all hotels except Don Carlos ( 1 family room), ground transportation, meals as described above, tours and air transfer from Liberia to San José.
