Costa Rica Honeymoon Adventure Package
10 - day itinerary (10 Days/9 Nights)

Description: Indulge your mind, body and soul as you embark on an enchanting journey to Costa Rica's most romantic destinations. Discover hidden gems and exciting attractions, handpicked to make your Costa Rica honeymoon absolutely unforgettable!

Day 1: Arrival San Jose. (No meals.)
Transfer in service. Meet and greet at Juan Santamaría International Airport in San José and transfer to your city hotel. Overnight at Grano de Oro Hotel   or similar (deluxe room, breakfast and taxes included).

Day 2: Pacuare 3 Day Adventure (B,L,D,)

 The Pacuare Lodge 3 Day Adventure is the perfect way to explore one of Costa Rica’s most exquisite rainforest gems, allowing you time to fully enjoy a variety of excursions and the area’s breathtaking natural scenery.6:00 -7:00 am: Early morning pick-up in your hotel lobby by a Costa Rica Nature Adventures representative. Transportation service (approximately 2½ hours) to our Pacuare River put-in including a typical Costa Rican breakfast in route. Exciting 1-1½ hour river rafting tour to the Pacuare Lodge (class II-III rapids) where you will enjoy a two night stay at Costa Rica’s premier eco-lodge. .

After lunch participate an optional canopy tour (not included in package price) or waterfall hike, or simply relax in your honeymoon suite or River View Suite. Dine on gourmet delicacies by candlelight and then visit our upstairs lounge for a cocktail or refreshment before retiring to a restful night’s sleep.  (B, L, D)

Day 3: You’ll wake up to bird song and the soothing sound of the river nearby. Then head over to the main lodge for a delicious breakfast of home-made bread, tropical fruits, yogurt, eggs, pancakes, cereal and juice and coffee. The lodge employs a resident naturalist guide who will provide you with unique insights into the plant and animal world. Choose from exciting optional tours (not included in the price)  that include the Cabecar Indian Hike where visitors may participate in a cultural exchange with a shaman , a Horseback riding tour to El Bajo del Tigre and our Adventure Canopy Tour – where visitors glide amid a tropical rainforest canopy.  Day 4: Transfer to Arenal area (about 3 hours) (B, L)
In the morning you will depart by raft for an even more fun-filled day of white water rating excitement, including a delicious picnic lunch along the river. At our river take-out you will have a chance to change clothes at our private facilities before being transferred by private minibus to the Arenal Volcano area (approximate driving distance 3 hours and 30 minutes). Overnight at the Arenal Kioro Hotel or similar.

Day 5:   Caño Negro Nature Preserve and Hot Spring at  Ecotermales del Bosque (B, L,D)
 Enjoy a full day trip to Caño Negro Nature Preserve . This preserve offers some of the most abundant bird watching opportunities in the world. Located near the small town of Los Chiles (3 miles from the Nicaraguan border), the refuge is a haven for literally thousands of birds, plants, fish, mammals, reptiles and amphibians. On this tour you’ll see more wildlife in a single day than in several weeks of hiking.  On an average day you can expect to see 40 species of birds, caiman, sloth’s, bats, turtles, lizards, monkeys and iguanas. Following a 15-minute break in Los Chiles, you’ll board a comfortable covered motor launch on the Rio Frio. 

After lunch, we’ll head back to the river for more animal viewing.  After a quick break in Los Chiles, enjoy a relaxing return ride to La Fortuna.  Departs at 7:30 am  and returns at 3:00 pm.  Your day ends at Ecotermales del Bosque , where you will have an opportunity to refresh your weary body in steaming hot springs as you view the colorful tropical gardens that cling to the lower reaches of the volcano. These inviting waters form sparkling waterfalls and warm water pools that will soak your worries away. Take some time to indulge yourself at the exclusive .A delicious dinner will be served before returning to your hotel. Overnight at the Arenal Kioro Hotel.

Day 6: Transfer ( about 4 hours ) to Guanacaste (B)
Journey across Costa Rica’s scenic northwest in route to sun-swept Ocotal  beach, located in the province of Guanacaste (approximate driving time 4 hours). You will spend the next four nights at the charming Ocotal Beach Resort .

Days 7: Explore Guanacaste at your leisure. (B)
Hotels: Same as Day 6. Full day to enjoy at your leisure. The Pacific’s azure-blue waters, secluded coves and a variety of attractions will not leave you bored. Overnight at the  Ocotal Beach Resort

Day 8: Guanacaste  (B)
Full day to enjoy at your leisure. Overnight at  Ocotal Beach Resort

Day 9: Guanacaste  (B)
Full day to enjoy at your leisure. Overnight at Ocotal Beach Resort

Day 10: Air transfer to San Jose  (B)
Morning ground transfer to the local airstrip in time with the domestic flight to San Jose. Transfer to your city hotel. Overnight at the Hotel Grano de Oro.

Day 11: Airport Transfer Out (B)
Transfer out service to the International Airport.
