| High ceilings, original walls made of thick brick, arches and stained glass
windows letting in colorful light all aid in creating the hotel's warm
Victorian atmosphere. Beautiful wallpaper, fine rugs, ceiling fans, mosaic
tile floors and English style furniture contrast sharply with the tropical
flower gardens "a la tica".
The Britannia Hotel is divided into two
parts; one is the old house which houses five Deluxe Rooms and five Jr.
Suites, as well as the restaurant which occupies what was once the old
wine cellar of the house, appropriately named "The Cellar". The new part
of the hotel consists of a four-story addition housing 14 standard rooms
all of which have T.V. with cable, telephone, private bathroom with
bathtub, hot water, safe deposit box and either one king size bed or two
beds. The Deluxe and Jr. Suite rooms have, in addition to all of the items
stated for the standard rooms, a desk, a hair dryer in the bathroom and
either one king size bed or two queen size
beds. |
