| Mawamba is a 15 acre beachfornt lodge located on the right side of Tortuguero offering nice views to the Canals. It is the ideal hideaway for nature lovers and people seeking soft adventure.
Tortuguero is a navigable network of lakes and canals that crosse the National Park from Southeast to the Northwest. This allows a great diversity of fauna and flora of the region to be seen at close hand. Activities include day excursions to Tortuguero National Park, visit to the town and Caribbean Corporation of Conservation (CCC). During season (July-September) night tours to search for the nesting of the Green Turtle (Chelonia Mydas) are available.
It's beautiful gardens and rustic accommodations, blend with the exuberant jungle vegetation, exotic birds and wildlife creating a perfect balance of nature. Two family style restaurants catering international and delicious local cuisine and a pool-bar surrounded by beautiful gardens where you can enjoy exotic tropical cocktails. |
The lodge include two docks, swimming pool, Jacuzzi, souvenir shop, relaxing ranchos with hammocks, nature trails, beach access by foot, volleyball sand court and a conference room with A/C, where lectures on Tortuguero Natural History and videos are presented daily.
The lodge features 54 comfortable rooms with private bathrooms, hot water and ceiling fans. Rooms have either 3 single beds or one double bed and one single bed. The hotel has the capacity to host up to 100 people. |
