D2Hardy Recent Member Posts: 1 Registered: Feb 2005	posted 02-27-2005 08:45 AM             I will be in CR during Semana Santa and will be based in Playa Grande. What are good practical day trips from here? What is the best way by car to get to Monteverde? Are there any good road maps that I can pick up before my trip? Which in particular? Brasalito and Samara were mentioned to me as good stops. Guailito sounds fascinating as well.

My advice on maps is to get a couple of them and then consult all of them. Some are only accurate to a certain point and you need ot cross reference it with another map. Going for the best two out of three is not a bad idea either. Do you know where you are planning on staying in playa grande? I would recomend hotel las tortugas as a great place. Pura Vida!
